Roda Golf Resort Opens New Clubhouse Restaurant for Autumn 2026

Right, so if you've walked past the clubhouse at Roda Golf in the last few months and wondered why there's been scaffolding, dust sheets, and the occasional bloke in a hi-vis vest wandering about with a clipboard, wonder no more. The kitchen's been handed over to a chef with proper Murcian pedigree, someone who's spent years cooking traditional rice dishes and fresh Mar Menor seafood in kitchens around Cartagena. The menu leans heavily on local produce: think arroz caldoso with prawns from the lonja in San Pedro del Pinatar, grilled sardines, and a version of michirones that'll put hairs on your chest. There's also a proper steak on there for anyone who's had enough paella to last them a lifetime.

Prices are sensible too, not resort-inflated. A main course sits somewhere between what you'd pay at a decent chiringuito on the beach and a smart restaurant in Cartagena's old town. Good value, in other words.

3. Autumn Is Genuinely the Best Time to Try It

Here's the thing nobody tells you when you're booking a summer holiday: September and October around here are brilliant. The heat's dropped off, the course is playable without melting into a puddle by the ninth, and the terrace at the new restaurant catches that lovely golden evening light without you sweating through your shirt. If you're staying in one of the holiday rentals near Roda Golf, it's an easy stroll down for dinner after a round, no car needed, no fuss.

It's also quieter. The peak summer crowds have gone home, the kids are back at school, and you can actually get a table without booking three weeks in advance. For now, anyway. Once word gets round, that'll change.

4. It Ties Into a Wider Push to Freshen Up the Resort

This isn't a one-off. The restaurant revamp is part of a broader effort by the resort to sharpen things up heading into next season, alongside improvements to the practice areas and the pro shop. For anyone based on the resort or nearby, it's one more reason to hang around after the eighteenth hole instead of rushing off. Autumn's the perfect season to give it a go, so get a table booked before the secret's fully out.
